The children’s hardshell helmet, as the name implies, has a hard shell that provides protection in the event of impact. At the same time, the impact-absorbing EPS inside the helmet also protects the shell. This keeps the helmet protected from damage even during transport, such as on the ski shuttle. A seamless visor takes care of eye protection. The lens is slightly mirrored, shatter-proof, provides 100% UV protection and also provides protection from draughts. Other advantages of the visor: easy handling for children, normal glasses can be worn underneath the visor, helmet and visor always fit perfectly, goggles can’t be lost or forgotten.
Soft ear cushions and a warming neck protector provide maximum comfort. Proven a hundred thousand times over and used on all Alpina helmets: the strap buckle with the red push button and multi-step automatic locking mechanism. Ergomatic can be operated with one hand - you can loosen the strap on the way up the mountain and tighten it for downhill - and in a fall the locking mechanism cannot open automatically.
A combination of an impact-resistant outer shell (ABS or polycarbonate) plus a shock-absorbing and cold-insulating inner shell (EPS) guarantees a maximum of safety.
The inner shell of all Inmold helmets consists of Hi-EPS (High Expanded Polystyrene). It is made up of a large number of microscopic air pockets which absorb the impact forces that act in a crash. In addition, HI-EPS absorbs neither water nor perspiration.
A versatile adjustment system with a large, easy-grip two-component wheel and two large pressure absorbent pads at the rear of the head to give a perfect fit.
With a Venting lens, ventilation openings are integrated into the lens to ensure optimum ventilation of the interior of the spectacles. This effectively prevents the lens from fogging.
The Y-Clip connects the front and rear straps beneath the ear. Opening the clip enables the straps to be adjusted easily for a perfect fit.
Removable ear pads provide a feeling of freedom while riding in warm weather – without sacrifice to the protective function. When temperatures drop the pads can simply be attached to the helmet again by means of a clicking mechanism or buttons.
