Style, aesthetic, innovation. The ALPINA ALTO is a visor helmet for skiers who like to look good and be able to see everything.
The newly designed and perfectly visor translation rotation Mechanism (TRM) sets new standards in terms of comfort. Thanks to TRM, the visor seals extra tightly to the face, thus helping the helmet to sit compactly and comfortably on the head. The ALPINA high-tech lenses ensure optimal visibility and sharp contrast. The ALPINA ALTO’s active air venting structure guarantees active ventilation. At the same time, the clean play of surfaces in combination with the scattered hole structure of the ventilation creates an iconic look.
Technical data
To control the air stream, the vents in the helmet can be opened and closed using a sliding mechanism.
Proven a hundred thousand times over and used on all Alpina helmets: the strap buckle with the red push button and multi-step automatic locking mechanism. Ergomatic can be operated with one hand - you can loosen the strap on the way up the mountain and tighten it for downhill - and in a fall the locking mechanism cannot open automatically.
The head band at the back of the head is height-adjustable in five steps for enhanced fit of the helmet.
A combination of an impact-resistant outer shell (ABS or polycarbonate) plus a shock-absorbing and cold-insulating inner shell (EPS) guarantees a maximum of safety.
The inner shell of all Inmold helmets consists of Hi-EPS (High Expanded Polystyrene). It is made up of a large number of microscopic air pockets which absorb the impact forces that act in a crash. In addition, HI-EPS absorbs neither water nor perspiration.

Mirror is a disc on which several layers of mirrors are applied. They protect against extreme glare and infrared light. Mirror is not only the property of a highly functional lens, but also a style element.
For ALPINA, being able to see contrasts clearly is an elementary feature of sports glasses. That's why we developed the contrast-enhancing Q-Lite technology, which makes contrasts on the trail and on the road more visible, makes colors appear richer and ensures sharper vision. This means the eyes can stay focused longer, are less stressed and more efficient in crucial moments.
The Run System enables all Alpina helmets to adjust to a custom size by using an easy-to-move dial. The Run System Classic scores points for its price/performance ratio. It is a simple and sturdy wheel that holds the helmet securely in place where it belongs: on the head.
