Atomic Backland 85 W 22/23 Touring Ski
Product description
Discover your Backland
A wildly lightweight and versatile ski designed for women drawn to the allure of all-round alpine touring, Atomic Backland 85 W is built with featherlight Ultra Light Woodcore construction, keeping it nice and light for uphill climbing. Further reducing weight, the Carbon Backbone runs the length of the ski like a backbone, providing exceptional agility and stable edge grip on the descent. Built to enjoy every aspect of backcounty ski touring and specifically shaped underfoot to allow for easier movement during climbing, the All Mountain Rocker profile and HRZN Tech in the tip allow the ski to float in fresh snow and charge through chop and crud with less tip deflection. The cut-out notch in the tips makes transitioning Atomic Pre-Fit skins a snap.

The poplar and caruba woodcore for skis that are all about low weight, like the Atomic touring skis.
Thanks to the continuous fiberglass layers, the ski is harmonious and stable. Stable to ride, while at the same time it scores with low weight and high dynamics.
An ultra-lightweight carbon insert that runs the length of the ski like a stabilizing backbone. This provides exceptional agility and edge hold with no extra weight.
Sidewall from base to top sheet, for controlled power transmission and great edge grip. The rounded shape of the Dura Cap is a fantastic durability feature as it picks up fewer dents and dings
Precisely tuned edges are an important part of ski performance. A dull edge cannot penetrate the snow surface and will skid through a turn. An edge that is too sharp will grab and catch the snow surface creating unstable performance. The Atomic skis are prepared with a side edge angle of 87.0° for more intuitive handling, easier skiing and better grip on hard snow and ice.
All skis from the Atomic factory are delivered with steel edges that have been carefully machined with a precise base edge bevel for specific performance characteristics. Base edge angles between 0.8° and 1.6° lightly lift the ski edges off the snow for easy turning while maintaining edge grip and tracking throughout the turn.
HRZN Tech adds 10% more surface area at your ski tips. For awesome floatation in powder plus less tip deflection and better tracking through chop.
For all snow conditions and any terrain, both on and off-piste. An early rise either just in the tip, or in both tip and tail, makes this rocker super versa
