Atomic Backland 88 W 24/25 Touring Ski
Product description
Created for women who seek limitless skiing on any terrain, the Atomic Backland 88 W offers the ultimate all-round touring experience.
The results of scientific life cycle assessment culminate in a ski construction that cuts CO2 emissions by 30% without sacrificing an ounce of performance. This new material makeup utilizes locally sourced woods, less fiberglass and resin, and new waste-reducing sidewalls for a light, stronger profile that thrives in any terrain. The wider 88mm waist and the uniquely beveled tips of HRZN 3D – the next generation succeeding original HRZN tech – offer more floatation and better handling in variable snow, enabling the ski to dominate powder, hardpack, groomers or any condition in between. The revolutionary All-Terrain Profile changes the thickness curve, torsional stiffness, and flex pattern to create a ski shape with more stability, for utmost versatility even on harder snow surfaces.
Choose an Atomic PreFit Skin for the ultimate set up and nothing is off limits for the Backland 88 W.

Made from Poplar wood, this core optimizes the ski’s weight without sacrificing any shock absorption or stability.
A broad, uniquely beveled, perforated 3D tip that increases surface area for better float and reduced swing weight. HRZN Tech Tip & Tail construction features a fully beveled tip and tail that delivers 10% more surface area, without adding any width or weight to the ski, for awesome flotation in deep snow, less tip deflection and better tracking through chop. This technology also creates a more relaxed tip and tail for more playful, progressive performance – making it the ultimate design for freeride and freestyle skiers.
Thanks to the continuous fiberglass layers, the ski is harmonious and stable. Stable to ride, while at the same time it scores with low weight and high dynamics.
Sidewall from base to top sheet, for controlled power transmission and great edge grip. The rounded shape of the Dura Cap is a fantastic durability feature as it picks up fewer dents and dings
Precisely tuned edges are an important part of ski performance. A dull edge cannot penetrate the snow surface and will skid through a turn. An edge that is too sharp will grab and catch the snow surface creating unstable performance. The Atomic skis are prepared with a side edge angle of 87.0° for more intuitive handling, easier skiing and better grip on hard snow and ice.
All skis from the Atomic factory are delivered with steel edges that have been carefully machined with a precise base edge bevel for specific performance characteristics. Base edge angles between 0.8° and 1.6° lightly lift the ski edges off the snow for easy turning while maintaining edge grip and tracking throughout the turn.
For all snow conditions and any terrain, both on and off-piste. An early rise either just in the tip, or in both tip and tail, makes this rocker super versa
