Product description

Boots that fit.

The top model in the Backland UL Series, Atomic Backland Carbon UL is a lightweight touring boot built for efficient climbing, quick transitions, and solid skiing performance. Frictionless Pivot gives the freedom of movement to move quickly up the mountain and the Free/Lock 4.0 system lets you lock in the cuff for powerful skiing. The BOA® Fit System ensures a precise fit that can be effortlessly adjusted on the go. Designed for quick transitions, the Speed Strap cuff closure system integrates the buckle and power strap all in one. A washable, breathable 3D Platinum Tour UL liner with Dry Fit Foam envelopes the foot for a best-in-class fit and when combined with Dura Shield, greatly improves the longevity of the liner. This is the ideal boot for ski tourers who are mindful of the boot’s overall weight. Dial in to a fast, effortless, precision fit that delivers a perfect connection between your body and the equipment, keeping your foot secure and maximizing control. Push in to engage, turn to tighten and pull up the dial for a fast release. Igus polymer bushings provide a completely natural movement for effortless ascents. Backland 3D Platinum liners utilize Dry Fit Foam which uniformly envelops the foot for a best-in-class first fit. Delivering lightweight ski touring versatility with increased downhill performance, Dry Fit Foam offers greater resistance to packing out over traditional EVA foam. A durable TPU layer covers a rugged mesh textile to protect the liner from daily wear and tear. Designed to save weight while making transitions between touring and skiing faster and easier, the Backland UL boot features a new Speed Strap cuff closure system that integrates a buckle & power strap all in one.
