It shares the same race-proven Atomic DNA as Redster racing skis, including Atomic’s World Cup innovation, Revoshock S. Revoshock S is a series of spring steel modules encased in impact absorbing elastomer. The modules work in concert to absorb and disperse vibrations and ski chatter, and create stability and acceleration in every turn on the groomers. The Flite Woodcore combines with the Revoshock S system to create a lightweight ski that remains grounded and responsive in the turns. So you can ski your best all day. Precisely tuned edges are an important part of ski performance. A dull edge cannot penetrate the snow surface and will skid through a turn. An edge that is too sharp will grab and catch the snow surface creating unstable performance. The Atomic skis are prepared with a side edge angle of 87.0° for more intuitive handling, easier skiing and better grip on hard snow and ice.
All skis from the Atomic factory are delivered with steel edges that have been carefully machined with a precise base edge bevel for specific performance characteristics. Base edge angles between 0.8° and 1.6° lightly lift the ski edges off the snow for easy turning while maintaining edge grip and tracking throughout the turn.
With Active Camber, more of the ski’s edge length stays in contact with the snow. This creates better grip on icy slopes and makes the ski super stable.
