For trekkers looking for a comfortable pack with good load transfer and maximum ventilation for longer trips. Perfect fit thanks to the VariSlide system for custom back length fit to any size. Mobile VariFlex ECL hip fins and ActiveFit shoulder straps wrap around the body. This means that even heavy loads can be carried in comfort, with the load moving in unison with the body, thereby saving energy. The eronomic Air-comfort Sensic mesh back system keeps air flowing across the back for superior ventilation. More capacity and extra organisation thanks to the stash pocket at the side which can also accommodate a Streamer. The height-adjustable lid also expands the volume of the pack by 10 litres.

This deuter product is free of intentionally used PFAS (per- & polyfluorinated chemicals). deuter thus reduces the use of substances, that are known to harm the environment and health. For outdoor products PFAS are mainly used for water repellant treatments. Instead, deuter uses since 2019 alternative DWR (Durable Water Repellency) impregnation.
Technical data
On small to medium backpacks that are at home in easier terrain deuter goes for maximum ventilaton. The heart of the Aircomfort systems – tested and proven for decades – is its flexible spring steel frame. It is extremely durable, provides stable tension for the airy back mesh and creates the ventilation space between pack and wearer’s back for the moist, warm air to dissipate. 1984 deuter invented & patented the first mesh back system worldwide. THE RESULT: Less perspiration thanks to the maximum ventilation achieved by the Aircomfort mesh construction. This reduces circulatory stress for more endurance.
This model is also available in the SL version. The SL back length is specific for women: on average, women have shorter backs than men. The carrying system in the SL model is therefore somewhat shorter than in the Deuter standard backpacks. In addition, the carrying system is specially adapted to the female anatomy.
