The Cabin Loafer is a first-class HANWAG by Gottstein slipper and hut shoe made of boiled wool – made sustainably in the heart of the Tyrol.

The natural material made from 100% mulesing-free pure new wool impresses with its excellent functional properties: it’s durable, moisture- and temperature-regulating and offers pleasant wearing comfort thanks to its high elasticity and soft edging made of fine knitwear. A special feature of the manufacturing process is the high quality of the clear, pure Tyrolean mountain water, which is essential for felting and fulling. Each felt slipper is made seamlessly and by hand over a shoe last. The comfortable shoe is completed by a by a non-slip, waterproof natural latex sole.

Mulesing free
Mulesing free:

Mulesing free describes a type of sheep farming in which the animals are spared the painful procedure of mulesing. Mulesing involves removing folds of skin around the animals' tails, sometimes without anesthesia, and this controversial procedure is used to prevent possible parasitic infestations. However, this technique is not used on animals from strictly controlled Mulesing free farms. Instead, they rely on close-meshed health monitoring to prevent parasite infestations and diseases. This increases the well-being and quality of life of the sheep, making Merino wool with the Mulesing free label the best choice for anyone who wants to support pain-free sheep husbandry and breeding.
