K2 Wayback 96 19/20 Touring Ski
Consistency and high-performance are the name of the Wayback 96’s game.
It’s long been thought that building a lightweight ski meant sacrificing downhill performance. The Wayback 96 is here to shatter that stereotype. New this year, we’ve sandwiched a metal laminate layer in between reinforced top and bottom fiberglass to create the most versatile touring ski in the industry today. The topsheet of the ski is designed to shed snow to keep the haul light and quick on the ascent. The sintered base of the ski is ultra fast. And tip and tail grommets pair perfectly with K2’s precut climbing skins for super quick transitions.

All-Terrain Rocker
Skis with All-Terrain rocker have a gradual rise to the tip for great versatility in all conditions, with a short, low rise in the tail for added control variable snow.
Paulownia
Lively, flexible wood with excellent weight to strength ratio.
K2 uses a variety of wood species and blends for the energy, rebound and liveliness found in a wood ski core.
Ti SpYne
First of its kind, Titanal laminate developed specifi cally for K2 Touring skis that dramatically increases dampening and predictability on lightweight carbon constructions, while enhancing stability and edge grip.
Snowphobic Topsheet
Hydrophobic, snow shedding top material that helps prevent snow from sticking to the tops of your skis.
Carbon Overdrive
Top secret construction using carbon fi ber to make a ski even more awesome than if it did not have carbon fi ber. Radness levels achieved are diffi cult to quantify. Product of area ’62.
Skin Grommets
Reinforced grommets in the tip and tail of the ski that both accommodate K2’s pre-cut skins with a Z-clip skin attachment, and can be used with K2/BCA Shovels to build a rescue sled.
