PrimaLoft is a synthetic fiber which, as a very light, breathable and quick-drying material, has a very high insulating capacity with a small pack size. The synthetic material protects you from the cold and insulates the heat at the same time. PrimaLoft offers softness, lightness, warmth without bulk, as well as water repellency and compressibility like goose down.

Thanks to the two-zone lacing, the forefoot and shaft have separately adjustable lacing zones. This allows the shoe to be individually adapted to the anatomy of the foot and laced differently for going uphill and downhill.

The special lacing fixes the tongue both vertically and horizontally. Since the lacing is independent of the individual height of the instep, this construction is ideal for every foot. With this lacing technology, the pressure of the laces is no longer only transferred to the hooks, but to the entire tongue.

To ensure that the laces run flexibly and smoothly through the eyelets, small roller balls minimise friction in the metal loops.

If the upper of a hiking shoe can be bent slightly, the foot can roll better. This saves energy, especially when walking uphill, and ensures noticeable comfort. That's why LOWA has incorporated a flexible zone and a so-called "lace loop" in the crook of the foot. This means relocating the eyelet and using a flexible deep-draw hook that improves heel fit and eases flexion.
