LOWA Cadin II GORE-TEX® MID Hiking Boots Men limone
Product description
A shoe that’s sure to turn heads. Particularly on Alpine terrain, on rock or on your way there: The CADIN II GTX MID is simply an athletic jack-of-all-trades. Its multifaceted qualities are well-known and well-loved by mountaineers.
This popularity is the result not only of the boot’s welts for semi-automatic crampons, but also its Vibram outsole. It’s simply perfect for almost any conditions you might encounter when mountaineering. Besides being functional, a mountaineering boot has to look good. The CADIN II GTX MID has its own special eye-catchers, including its scree collar and its integrated embossing that creates a special mountaineering boot style.
Technical data
Thanks to the two-zone lacing, the forefoot and shaft have separately adjustable lacing zones. This allows the shoe to be individually adapted to the anatomy of the foot and laced differently for going uphill and downhill.
This shoe features a Vibram sole. The Italian sole manufacturer has been one of the leading brands in the field of high-quality soles for many years.
The VIBRAM EVO relies on the proven Vibram technology: multifunctional profile design with an optimal rubber compound for hiking on a wide variety of terrains. Combined with the tried-and-tested heel profile for pleasant descents.
Specially designed part in the area of the tip of the sole for precise stepping on easy climbing sections.
The VIBRAM ALP TRAC® NUMEN performance sole is specially designed for alpine conditions. The large "climbing zone" at the tip of the sole enables precise stepping on steep rock. In addition, the arrangement of the cleats ensures that dirt is removed from the sole when walking.
There is the possibility of resoling.
This means that the tongue sits where it belongs - without slipping or pressure points: With X-LACING® technology, this is easily possible with shoes. The special lacing fixes the tongue both vertically and horizontally. Since the lacing is independent of the individual height of the instep, this construction is ideal for every foot. With this lacing technology, the pressure of the laces is no longer only transferred to the hooks, but to the entire tongue.
If the upper of a hiking shoe can be bent slightly, the foot can roll better. This saves energy, especially when walking uphill, and ensures noticeable comfort. That's why LOWA has incorporated a flexible zone and a so-called "lace loop" in the area of the crook of the foot. This means relocating the eyelet and using a flexible deep-draw hook that improves heel fit and eases flexion.
Suitable for semi-automatic crampons. These are crampons for mountaineering and approach shoes that have a rear but not a front edge of the sole.
Due to its construction, the shoe has a high resistance to deflection.
The last is crucial for the fit of a shoe. Lasts for LOWA men‘s models are specially developed based on the anatomy of the male foot to ensure an optimal fit. This results, among other things, in an adapted ankle height and optimised widths and volumes in the heel and ball areas.
