Sweat-inducing ascents, steep descents: Ortovox has developed the COL BECCHEI JACKET for women especially for demanding ski tours in alpine terrain.
In order to make this athletically cut ski touring jacket particularly lightweight, robust and elastic, they use MERINO NATURETEC LIGHT as the main material: It provides excellent breathability and elasticity yet is still wind-resistant. Tasmanian merino wool on the inside offers plenty of comfort while naturally regulating the climate. In the front, technical inserts made of a special three-layer WARP KNIT material with a windproof membrane protect against the weather yet remain breathable. And air pockets in the fabric provide optimum insulation. For the sake of the environment, the jacket is PFC-FREE and climate-neutral.
The details have been tailored to demanding tours in alpine terrain: The close-fitting hood protects the head from the cold and fits easily under a helmet. Ventilation zippers under the arms cool during strenuous ascents, while elastic cuffs keep out drafts and snow. The pockets are backpack-optimized - for quick access.

The impregnation is free from polyfluorinated chemicals, which are harmful to the environment and humans.
Since 1995, merino wool has been an integral component of ORTOVOX’s mountainwear. The merino wool comes from selected farms that comply with the OWP wool standard: the ORTOVOX WOOL PROMISE. ORTOVOX obtains its virgin wool from certified and ethical sheep farms. These farms are regularly monitored within the framework of the OWP. The wool is naturally 100% ecological and therefore super sustainable. Thanks to the small-diameter fibers in its fine woolen threads, merino wool feels extremely soft and comfortable on the skin. In addition to comfort, merino wool also provides an ideal personal body climate by regulating both moisture and temperature. It is also easy to care for and, thanks to its antibacterial effect, odor neutralizing.
