Pieps’ sophisticated signal verification only displays signals from beacons and not “ghost signals” from other sources. The SCAN function can be used to efficiently solve scenarios where multiple people are buried in snow. This feature provides a quick overview of the situation with multiple people buried in snow and shows the number of buried persons in a specific close-up area. Strategic targeted search with Victim Selecition! In detailed SCAN mode, the avalanche beacon displays direction and distance for each buried person to enable a targeted rescue strategy. The avalanche beacon automatically switches from search to send after a certain period of inactivity (no movement). Built-in Bluetooth technology and the PIEPS APP allow you to update and check your device or your entire fleet of PIEPS BT devices. The PIEPS APP can be used to create challenging training scenarios for avalanche rescue.
