SALEWA Ortles DST Softshell Jacket Men electric
Product description
A men's softshell hybrid jacket made from recycled fabric for high-altitude mountaineering.
The Ortles Durastretch softshell jacket, inspired by the mighty Ortler, which has the largest ice wall in the Eastern Alps. It is designed for changeable autumn, winter and spring conditions.
Its breathable softshell fabric offers you excellent weather protection and thermal comfort, while the free-motion cut guarantees you full freedom of movement and prevents the hem from riding up when climbing. The jacket is made of Schoeller®-Naturetec, a unique, lightweight, PFC-free fabric that combines robust, partially recycled polyamide functional fibers with natural merino wool on the inside, making the jacket feel super comfortable on the skin. In the shoulder area Salewa use a Durastretch ripstop structure to increase durability. The Direct Access System ensures quick and easy access to your avalanche transceiver or the layers below. And together with Salewas athletes they have developed and tested a new under-helmet hood construction with a high, strap-compatible collar. The straps enter through two hidden openings on either side of the collar and can be fastened just below the chin. The front zip can then be easily operated and the hood moves with the head, giving you an improved field of vision.
This Salewa Committed model also has a PFC-free DWR (durable water repellent) coating.
