Product description
The Scott Addict Gravel 40 will get you wherever you’re going, no matter what the trail throws at you.
More progressive, more control and more mounts mean this adventure-ready machine is your ticket to getting out there. Find yourself, get lost.
The goal was from day one to build the ultimate gravel & adventure bike. To have one bike who can do it all. Be fast on tarmac, have the comfort on rough terrain and optimal handling when it gets gnarly. The Addict Gravel is most likely the fastest, most capable, and most fun bicycle Scott has ever created. Just leave the daily routine behind and see where the road ahhh gravel will take you!
The geometry got optimized for modern, aggressive gravel riding. The goal form Scott was to create a well-balanced geometry for a controllable and predictive handling even in tricky situations on narrow trails. It comes with an increased reach, longer fork rake, lower bottom bracket and shorter stem to make for a more agile and stable bike off-road, that still provides the optimal position for pedaling efficiency even with bigger tires.
Comfort Features Addict Gravel
To guarantee a controlled and smooth riding experience Scott has increased the tire clearance to 45mm, lowered the seat stays and came up with a carbon layering which guarantees both optimal pedaling efficiency and enough comfort when it gets rough.
Oversized Bottom Bracket
The PF86 bottom bracket allows for a wide connection of the downtube and the tapered seattube to the BB box. Together with a stiffness-optimized lay-up and SCOTT's patented carbon manufacturing process, the BB stiffness of the Addict Gravel Disc reaches an impressive level.
Tapered Headtube Addict Gravel
The Addict Gravel Disc features 1 1/8" to 1 1/2" integrated bearings and a tapered headtube. The headtube diameter allows for wider connections of the toptube and downtube which results in an increased of torsional stiffness. The rigid front end enables direct, precise and safe handling of the bike, even in the most technical of turns.
EvoLap-Technology
With the right choice of material, eighty percent of the work involved in making a frame is done. But the remaining twenty percent requires the most effort. That's why Scott's decision to use the highest quality carbon fibers on the market also involves the intensive use of specific processes, such as FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software to map the carbon layer structure. With FEA, Scott can simulate various forces on a virtual frame model and adapt the design accordingly. FEA software has been used to create complete virtual prototypes that take into account all the physical phenomena that occur in the real environment. Using Scott EvoLap technology, the frame is modelled to optimize the surface area, simulate tube shapes through different directional layers, observe the results of different configurations and check the load distribution in different frame areas. Thanks to this extensive computer modeling, Scott has optimized the carbon layers in all parts of their frames. Gluing the parts together in the first prototypes resulted in a super light and compact frame without sacrificing stiffness, comfort or impact resistance. The entire range benefited from Scott's Evo-Lap technology.
1 or 2-by Drivetrain
Perfectly compatible with 1 and 2-by drivetrains. For 1-by, the front derailleur plate can be replaced with a bike-specific chain guide or closing plate.
Aero Tube Shapes
Gravel and aero can also go hand in hand. Scott's patented airfoil design has been applied to the bike's main tubes (down tube, head tube, seat tube, seat post, seat stays) with the goal of optimizing the airflow and reducing the overall drag, without any compromise on comfort and compliance.
Addict-Gravel Fender Mounts
The Addict Gravel comes with well-hidden mounts for Syncros-specific fenders, making it a perfect commuter bike as well. The tire clearance with fenders is 40mm
Addict-Gravel Mounts
The new Addict Gravel comes with smart mounts for gear and accessories that make it ready for serious adventure rides. You will find a mounting option for bolt-on top-tube bags and accessories, an extra mount on the down tube for an additional bottle cage or toolbox, and two different bottle cage positions for better access when riding with a frame bag.

Integrated cable routing not only makes for a clean and premium look, but also improves the airflow in the front and provides more space and no cable rubbing for handlebar bags.
